The first and most important Point
of Difference: We design
to your requirements, in your preferred style and for your lifestyle. Have a look
at the images examples to the right: You will
see two apparently completely different houses. But, first looks can be
deceiving. The two houses have nearly the
same basic shape. The
one owner picked uPVC windows and doors, the other
aluminium doors and windows. The two homes are clad with different materials.
The stylistic differences and different materials choices between the two,
even though using nearly the same footprint has provided these two customers
with two very different homes. One could, as easily, add large sliding doors
and windows and mono-pitch roofs and change to a completely modern house
style. |

Free Consultation: Come visit us anytime, for a free
consultation. (You may wish to schedule an appointment as this will ensure
that the appropriate staff member can spend the necessary hours with you,
without interruption.) We place no time limit on this Free Consultation
because it is important for us that you have the opportunity to express your
requirements fully. We find that, for a meaningful discussion, you should
schedule one-and-a-half to two hours, meeting at our offices and display
rooms. |

Free Building Permit Ready Plans: If you
build with us, we will produce your Building Permit Ready Plans Free of
Charge. You can choose to alter one of our standard plans, or we can design
for you from scratch. Timeless Homes will provide you with a firm fixed price
quote for this design work and will then use the design drawings to provide a
free quote for your project. Should you accept our quote, and enter into a
construction contract, then we will discount your project with the full cost
of the Building Permit Ready Plans. |

Free Quotes: We will provide a free quote, if
you have your design work done with us. If you have your plans drawn elsewhere,
we’re happy to quote for free as well, but there can be some consultant costs
that may have to be met. A staff member will be happy to explain these
requirements in more detail. |

Fixed Fees: Many design firms charge per hour.
Others charge a percentage based fee, based upon the value of the building
work. We have a completely unique way of charging: We will provide you with a
fixed fee quote once we’ve met with you and have been able to establish the
scope of work required for your design project. This way you can be assured
that there won’t be any ballooning hourly rates charges with every change to
the drawings. Nor will the fees be adjusted every time you make a change
which affects the cost of your project, thereby altering the percentage based
fee. We keep it simple, with a fixed fee system, and will only charge you the
fee pre-agreed at the start. |

Mark
Jerling and Chris Kingdon of Timeless Homes Ltd designed and built our
Edwardian style villa in Karori in 2008-09.
We chose them because we were greatly impressed by the examples of their
workmanship we had seen. Right
from the start I was impressed by Mark’s focus on giving the customer
excellent service. He was very willing to listen to our suggestions,
our requests, and the whole variety of issues that arise in building a house.
No detail was too small to be resolved. The first plans reflected our
wishes very closely, and Mark was very willing to make the changes that we
suggested. Mark has an amazingly comprehensive knowledge of building and
housing, and he can provide advice on almost any issue. He is very
attentive to the customer’s needs and will follow up to ensure quality

Kingdon was the Project Manager and organised the building contractor, the
